“The song is about not wanting to break the other person’s heart, and really letting them know that you’re not in this to play games, or to hurt them—just that you’re there to love them,” Demi told E! News.

“I want to put it out there and show that women can be independent on their own…I think that’s the best lesson that I’ve learned—to love myself before any other person,” Lovato said of her casual style in the video.
